Top 250 Favorite Video Games (200-191)

200.) LEGO The Lord of the Rings (2013) - PlayStation 3/Vita

Developer: Traveller’s Tales/TT Fusion

Publisher: Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment

Director: Jon Burton, James McLoughlin

I don't know if it's my love for the movies, but LEGO The Lord of the Rings is by far my favorite LEGO game. I played through both the Vita version and the PlayStation 3 version. I loved the added voices and the semi-open world game play. Just an awesome, fun and addicting game!

199.) Ninja Gaiden (1989) - NES

Developer: Tecmo

Publisher: Tecmo

Director: Hideo Yoshizawa

Don't know how I would do with the game now, but man I loved the Ninja Gaiden games on NES. Took so much skill and they were just so much fun!

198.) Hearthstone (2014) - iOS

Developer: Blizzard Entertainment

Publisher: Blizzard Entertainment

Director: Ben Brode, Jason Chayes, Eric Dodds

I haven't played the most recent Magic game, but Blizzard really filled a void with Hearthstone. A card game is absolutely perfect for iOS and Hearthstone was just really good.

197.) Braid (2008) - Xbox 360

Developer: Number None

Publisher: Microsoft Game Studios

Director: N/A

Braid is the kind of game in some ways I dislike, haha. It made me feel dumb. I would have to sit there and look at screens and with some of the puzzles I just couldn't figure them out. I never completed the game, I think I finished about 75% of it, it just kind of got lost in the shuffle, but it was really good.

196.) Flappy Bird (2013) - Amazon Fire Phone

Developer: dotGears

Publisher: dotGears

Director: N/A

I know, I know. But I actually liked this game, the tapping challenge of getting Flappy Bird through the Mario pipes I actually had a lot of fun with. Again, a good reminder this is my favorite games, not saying these are the best games of all time.
195.) Ninja Gaiden Black (2004) - Xbox

Developer: Team Ninja

Publisher: Tecmo

Director: Tomonobu Itagaki

Like the original, just absolutely loved this game. Looked beautiful on the original Xbox and I loved how you had to meet the game on its terms.

194.) Senran Kagura: Shinovi Versus (2014) - PlayStation Vita

Developer: Tamsoft

Publisher: XSEED Games

Director: N/A

If I had any credibility left, it probably goes away here, because this game is going to be pretty close on this list to Super Mario Bros. But I absolutely loved it. I never really played any of the Dynasty Warriors games, so I don't really know if I would like them, but if they play like this one I would at least enjoy the game play. Such a fun, charming game.

193.) NBA Jam: Tournament Edition (1994) - Genesis

Developer: Iguana

Publisher: Midway Acclaim Entertainment

Director: N/A

Played soooo much of this game back in the day. Alone. With friends. It's not quite a pitch perfect version of the arcade, the graphics aren't as good, but it's as good as it could have been and was so much fun to play!

192.) Patapon (2007) - PlayStation Vita

Developer: Pyramid

Publisher: Sony Computer Entertainment

Director: Ejun

There was a story out today that Sony is going to remake The Last of Us for PS5 and that they're basically only doing huge, Hollywood style AAA games. This game is the perfect example why Sony is kind of leaving me behind and while I'll more than likely just not going to get the PS5. I loved the PlayStation that would do games like Patapon, original, fun games that just expanded what gaming could be. It's a real shame we're losing that and hopefully they'll get some management that returns to that style of game.

191.) Final Fantasy IX (2000) - PlayStation Vita

Developer: Square

Publisher: Square Electronic Arts

Director: Hiroyuki Ito

My least favorite of the PlayStation 1 Final Fantasy games, but to be fair, I never beat it. I got pretty far though and plan to beat it and the rest of the series (many for the first time). It's a really charming game though and Vivi is one of the best Final Fantasy characters!
