State of Haunted: A Noir Series

Hi everyone! Wanted to update the readers to where the series is at and where it's going. As I speak, I've written through the sixth story in the series, feature complete and I'm fairly happy with where the story is at and where it is headed. I've noticed a drop-off in interaction with the series, both social media engagement as well as sales, I'm sure there's a variety of reasons for that.

Up until now, the plan has been to release one story every three months and my thought about this is readers have felt a little inundated by this, feeling too much of the content has been thrown at them, particularly as I'm also now marketing a kindle vella story as well. My thought is maybe readers have seen too much of my work on their timelines? So moving forward, I've decided to scrap the quarterly format of the series and switch to a once a year release.

Son, releasing on January 1st, 2022 will be the last quarterly release of Haunted: A Noir Series. After that, the next time you see a new story in the series will be January 1st, 2023 with the release of Haunted: A Noir Series - Season Two, which will be a collection of stories Five through Eight in the series. Structurally nothing will change, it'll be a collection of four stories; one in the Spring, one in the Summer, one in the Fall and one in the Winter. As far as titles, not sure if I'll continue to title each story or just use the season as a title break. Obviously if there is a Season Two release, there will be a Season One release collection in the series, more on that in the future.

I'm hoping this will resolve any issues with not only engagement (absence makes the heart grow fonder LOL), but will also give me time to tighten writing up, iron out the story a little better. My cover artist, who is my sister Brittany, has done an amazing job I feel (Bite's cover I love!) and this will also relieve her of having to do four covers for the series a year.

So that's that, hopefully if you've read one of the first three stories, you've enjoyed them and have enjoyed the story I'm telling and hopefully think I've improved with each subsequent story. If you have enjoyed it and have a few minutes I'd appreciate a review on Amazon or Goodreads. I hate asking, but those things really help with engagement on the series, it bumps the book up in their particular metrics and helps get them noticed more. Thanks for everything readers, I'll see you in the future!
